Brake Fluid DOT 3

DOT 3 Glycol-Ether Brake Fluid

Product Description

DOT 3 Glycol-Ether Brake Fluid. It provides a high dry and wet boiling point to resist vapour lock, controlled low-temperature fluidity for responsive braking, excellent corrosion protection for brake-system metals and compatibility with brake rubber components for safe, reliable braking performance.

Key Performance Features

High dry boiling point

high dry ERBP resists vapour lock under hard, repeated braking.

High wet boiling point

maintains a safe boiling point as the fluid absorbs moisture in service.

Low-temperature fluidity

controlled low-temperature viscosity for responsive cold braking and ABS/ESP.

Corrosion protection

protects brake-system metals against rust and corrosion.

Rubber compatibility

compatible with standard brake cups, seals and hoses.

Miscible with DOT 3/4/5.1

mixes with other glycol-ether brake fluids (not silicone DOT 5).

Applications & Performance Level

Applications General hydraulic disc and drum brake and clutch systems specifying an FMVSS 116 DOT 3 brake fluid.
Specification FMVSS 116 DOT 3 — US federal DOT 3 brake fluid standard.
SAE J1703 — SAE DOT 3 brake fluid specification.
ISO 4925 Class 3 — international DOT 3 brake fluid classification.
Reliable boiling point — dependable dry and wet boiling points for general braking.
Broad compatibility — suitable for general passenger-car brake systems.
OEM Suitability Hydraulic brake and clutch systems specifying FMVSS 116 / SAE J1703 / ISO 4925 Class 3 (DOT 3). Use only the grade specified by the vehicle manufacturer.
Important Notice Brake fluid is hygroscopic: keep containers sealed and do not reuse. Do not mix with silicone (DOT 5) fluid. ”Suitable for” does not mean official approval. Follow the vehicle manufacturer’s specification.
