Product Description

KATMOTO HEAT TRANSFER OIL is a high-stability heat transfer (thermal) oil to L-QB, based on ISO VG 32 fluidity, for closed indirect heating systems. Its highly refined, thermally stable formulation provides efficient heat transfer with excellent resistance to thermal cracking, oxidation and coking, low vapour pressure and high flash and autoignition temperatures for safe, reliable and long-life operation in thermal-fluid circulation systems.

Applications & Performance Level

Applications Closed, indirect heat-transfer (thermal oil) systems in process heating, with forced circulation and bulk temperatures up to about 320°C, requiring an L-QB thermal oil.
Specification L-QB (thermal oil) — heat-transfer oil classification for closed indirect heating.
DIN 51522 (Q) — heat-transfer fluid standard.
High thermal stability — resists cracking and coking at high bulk temperatures.
High flash / autoignition — safe high-temperature operation.

OEM Suitability Closed thermal-oil heating systems operating up to about 320°C bulk temperature requiring an L-QB heat-transfer oil. Follow the heater/system manufacturer’s maximum film and bulk temperature limits.
