Product Description
GTL Base Oil 6# is a gas-to-liquid (gtl) group iii+ base oil, ~6 cst. It offers a high viscosity index, low volatility and excellent oxidation and thermal stability as a premium base stock for blending high-performance engine oils, driveline fluids and industrial lubricants. Typical physical properties are listed below for formulation reference.
Key Performance Features
| Very high viscosity index
GTL chemistry delivers a high VI for excellent multigrade performance. |
Low Noack volatility
very low evaporation loss for low oil consumption. |
| Water-white purity
near-zero sulphur and aromatics for clean, stable finished oils. |
Excellent oxidation stability
stable base for long-drain engine and industrial oils. |
| Higher-viscosity GTL
adds film strength to mid- and high-viscosity formulations. |
Broad blending use
ideal for engine oils, gear and industrial lubricants. |
Applications & Performance Level
| Applications | Blending of high-performance synthetic and semi-synthetic engine oils, transmission and gear fluids, greases and industrial lubricants requiring a Group III+ (GTL) base stock. |
| Specification | API Group III+ Base Oil — base-oil group classification for this stock. High viscosity index — high VI for multigrade and wide-temperature formulations. Low volatility (Noack) — low evaporation loss for low oil consumption. Oxidation & thermal stability — stable base for long-life finished lubricants. Blending compatibility — compatible with additive systems and co-base stocks. |
| OEM Suitability | Lubricant formulators blending synthetic and semi-synthetic finished lubricants. Validate the finished-oil formulation and performance before production. |
| Important Notice | This is a blending feedstock for formulators, not a finished lubricant. Confirm suitability and treat rates for the target formulation. ”Suitable for” does not imply a finished-oil approval. |
